Peppa Flame Restaurant and Lounge

My first time visiting this restaurant was on June 16, 2022 for a birthday celebration and I was quite pleased. The restaurant really is just a house that someone had the idea to turn into a restaurant so it’s super cute and intimate. The place is nicely decorated and gives it an upscale vibe. The drinks are delicious, well what I ordered the mango margarita was delicious. The food took a little minute to come out for it to not be a lot of patrons at the time my party and I visited. We ordered the salmon and coconut shrimp, the curry chicken and I even tried the jerk coconut corn! Everything was to die for and I would definitely be back.

On my visit, which was a Saturday evening, I experienced a sub-par restaurant experience. The restaurant at this time only had 3 beverage's (water, coke and cranberry juice) and had a full bar. The food was pretty good and I will recommend the jerk chicken egg rolls, coconut shrimp and oxtails. Maybe this particular day they weren't hitting on all cylinders, but they have good potential. Wouldn't revisit based on an inadequate supply of food and beverages.

The restaurant was really clean. They have a full bar. I had the shrimp curry and my daughter has the chicken curry. They were both DELICIOUS!!! The portions were generous. The rice and beans/peas mixed with the curry sauces was perfect. Oh my the cabbage side!!!!! The server was awesome. He was running his legs of and still super attentive, but not intrusive.

Presently surprised! This establishment is in the heart of Baltimore City in a well established neighborhood w a lot to offer !! I visited this restaurant after being invited by my cousin for my Birthday and I was awesomely impressed !! We were taken great care of by Brit G., Rylie and Steve. My cousin has visited a few times previously and fell in love w this place. She even booked her birthday event here. I took a tour and saw the upstairs area and it was dainty, cute and classy. I am looking forward to returning to celebrate my cousin's Birthday in December as well as catch a couple games. Anyhoo today's visit... Once I entered I was greeted by this well decorated open area w a lengthy wall lined bar. We sat a a high top table across from the bar. I was quite impressed w the tv screens available to catch a few NFL Sunday games. The menu was nice and extensive. We ordered Honey Old Bay Wings, Fried Catfish, Curry Goat and Peppa Flame Oxtails. Each and everything that came out the kitchen was a tastefully delightful experience. I personally ordered the Catfish and it was good. Had a spicy kick to it. Taste like Tabasco. It was pretty good but I was eyeing my cousin's Peppa Flame Oxtails!! To set lunch off right, we had Mango Marley alcoholic drinks. Soooooo smooth!! It will creep up on you !! Lol I'm definitely looking forward to return sooner than later to scratch some things off of my Peppa Flame Menu Wish List !!

I think this place will consistently get a 4 star even with exceptionally good food, due to the gratuity + tip challenge. I think it’s a bit lazy to push all but food costs on customers. However, I had the best escovitch fish ever! My server (Tubbs) was sweet and attentive. He makes a strong drink, but it’s not particularly good. He’s a good bartender, personable and chatty, so he could benefit from mixology classes. I’ll definitely be back.
